Marianne Dillmann
Marianne Dillmann is a German painter who lives since 1983 on Mallorca / Spain.
After studying art and pedagogy her artistic style has been influenced by lengthy stays in Puerto Rico, USA, China, but especially from this island of Mallorca.
Dillmann’s compositions combine form with colour and texture. By the expressive application of paint and the use of sand, paper and fabric, the artist succeeds in creating tension and three-dimensionality. Gentle lines intermingle with powerful colours. Inks, acrylic paint and grease crayons are Marianne’s preferred media on canvas, paper, wood or on transparent acrylics, in soft layers or delicate transparency.
